Swift Police Response Ensures Public Safety Amid Threats in Navi Mumbai and Beyond

Navi Mumbai: A bomb threat email sent to Inorbit Malls across several states sparked a massive security operation on Saturday, leading to the evacuation of the Inorbit Mall in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. The mall’s management received the threatening email in the morning, prompting an immediate response from local authorities. Police, fire brigade, and bomb disposal teams were quickly dispatched to the scene, ensuring the safety of all individuals within the premises.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-1) Pankaj Dahane confirmed that similar threat emails were sent to 23 Inorbit Mall branches both within Maharashtra and in other states, including Hyderabad and Gujarat. “The bomb threat email was received by all Inorbit Malls in different states, including Vashi. Upon receiving the alert from the mall's management, we immediately deployed a significant police force to the location,” DCP Dahane stated.

The authorities swiftly evacuated the entire mall, with bomb detectors, dog squads, and security personnel conducting thorough searches of shops, corners, and parking areas. The investigation, which lasted until the afternoon, revealed no explosives on the premises.

The Vashi incident was not isolated. On the same day, similar threats were reported at the DLF Mall in Noida and Ambience Mall in Gurugram, leading to similar security protocols and thorough searches at these locations. Bomb squads and police forces were on high alert as they worked to ensure public safety and investigate the source of the emails.

Authorities are now focused on tracing the origin of these threatening emails, which appear to be a coordinated attempt to create panic across the country. The investigation is ongoing, with security measures heightened at all affected locations to prevent any potential incidents.
